Malte Forsell, CEO of the production company GWDT Film AB, says about the theme auction:
What sets a big American film like ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ apart from a Swedish film is the resources used both on scenography and structure. Almost every object in the film has been specially selected and purchased. Not least for the more than 60 scenes we shot in Uppsala. We have created workplaces for around 300 people for one year, which explains the incredible range of objects that we are selling now – everything from office items, tools, props, etc. Most things that weren’t sent to the studio recordings in Los Angeles were put into storage in case some scenes should be redone, and it’s these we’re now letting Lauritz.com sell for us.
