Mogensen, Børge 1914-1972.
Furniture designer, trained at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts from 1936-42. In 1950 Børge Mogensen opened his own design studio after having led the design studio of FDB, the Danish cooperative chain, for eight years. Among other pieces, Børge Mogensen is recognized for his Spoke-back Sofa, from 1945. His studio was carried on by his son, Peter Mogensen (b. 1944). Børge Mogensen also worked for Kaare Klint, where he specialized further in combining classic, simple and functional furniture design with special focus on form and dimensions.
