Joe Colombo
 Italian Joe Colombo (1930-1971) was both a respected and fantastic designer. His expression resembles that of the Danish designer Verner Panton. Colombo was extraordinarily versatile and has designed furniture, lamps, glass, door handles, pipes, wrist watches and much more. He also worked with some total designs, reception rooms and hotels. Colombo was awarded a wealth of prizes and distinctions for his work and designed for e.g. Kartell, Bofi and Alessi.
Not everyone may know much about the designer Joe Colombo, but many may be able to give a nod of recognition to the furniture he designed. Among other things he is known for chair No.: 4801 for Kartell as well as chair No: 4860 also for Kartell, the first chair in ABS to be made for adults.
