Parcel delivery

UPS and other carriers has temporarily suspended operations in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

As a result of Brexit, we are currently experiencing major challenges in delivering items to the UK. We refer to the following independent carriers who can be contacted for delivery of items to countries outside the EU. Find a list of the independent carriers here.

What can be sent by post?
We will send as many items by post as possible. With a few exceptions, we send all smaller sized items weighing less than 20 kg.

Envelope/box or parcel
We will send items in three different ways:

     Envelope/box:
used for shipping very small items such as jewellery, wristwatches and single coins or
     stamps.
     Parcel:
used for shipping slightly larger items, e.g. small lamps and books.
     Fragile parcel:
used for shipping fragile items that break easily, e.g. glassware and instruments.

Shipping prices
The shipping price depends on the weight, size and fragility of the item and the final destination.

The price covers administration, wage, packing material, postage and insurance. The slightly higher price of fragile packages is due to the extra cost of the particularly sturdy packaging used and the increased care that goes into wrapping the fragile item in order to ensure that your item arrives safely.

During the course of an auction, you can view the delivery price for the item in question.

Parcel delivery is paid per lot number. However, an prior agreement can be made to send several lots together, if the auction house agrees that this is practical. The end of the auctions for the designated items must fall within five week days of each other.

Payment for parcel delivery
If you use our online payment service you can pay for parcel delivery at the same time as you pay for your lot. If you pay via bank transfer, please mark your payment with 'customer number, lot number, shipping'.

Please note, if you are not home when the package is being delivered, it will instead be delivered to the nearest parcel shop where you will have to retrieve it.

Frequently asked questions
It has been some time since I have made arrangements concerning the shipment of my already paid for purchase, but I haven’t received it yet, what happened?
Please contact our shipping partner providing the order number, you received when you placed your shipping order. Our shipping partner will then try to track your lot.
Why cannot arms be sent in the post?

Arms cannot be sent in the post, because it is illegal to send firearms or edged weapons that require a permit by post. Some transport companies have a licence for the transportation of weapons, including our shipping partner. You are more than welcome to contact the auktionshuset.com auction house where the item you are interested in is on auction for more information.

Please note: If you do not have habitual residence in Denmark, you may not export the weapon from Denmark yourself, given that you do not possess the required documentation that would let you own the weapon in Denmark. The weapon must be shipped to your country of origin using a carrier that can transport the weapon lawfully.
