Description
Japanese Samurai Sword. Yasumitsu-Tanto, probably late Muromachi period, Odawara Soshu School, late Muromachi Period (1336-1573), Odawara swordsmith, most often signed with Nijimei Soshu Blade in Aikuchi mounting. Contemporary mounting, with beautiful red-varnished Saya, fittings in horn, original Sageo (line attached to the spine), grip clad in skate skin, with the original gold lacquer intact. Blade in older polishing, with hamon, which is precisely characteristic of the Soshu School. Beautifully signed 'Yasu-mitsu', probably late Muromachi period (1336-1573). L. with sheath 37 cm. In Denmark, a valid collector’s license for edged weapons license is required.
