Description
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Barcelona lounge chair Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 1886-1969. Barcelona lounge chair with chromed steel frame, stretched in harness leather. Cushions upholstered in buttoned and channel sewn, lightly patinated black leather. Designed for the World Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929. Produced and stamped by Knoll Studio. Literature: Charlotte and Peter Fiell. '1000 Chairs', reproduced and discussed, p. 133. Some marks on the harness leather on the back.
