Description

Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971. 'The Egg', return mechanism, Model 3316, lounge chair, swivel centre column in aluminium with matching footstool, Model 3127. Designed in 1958. Produced and stamped by Fritz Hansen, 2008, with serial number engraved in frame, 'Red Label'. The footstool is from 1999. Recently reupholstered by professional, former Fritz Hansen upholsterers in cognac-coloured 'Vacona' leather, retaining the 'Red Label' mark.

Aniline leather is made of high-quality raw leather. As a rule, the leather has a completely natural stripped surface, where all natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full-grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and the effects of light, and it quickly develops a naturally beautiful patina.

There is a 2-year guarantee on the upholstery. Warranty certificate included. Literature: C. Thau and K. Vindum. 'Arne Jacobsen', 1998, pp. 144, 432, pp. 433, 438-439, 467, 471-472.
