Description
Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971. 'The Egg'. Lounge chair with tilting and return mechanisms, upholstered in 'Charcoal Hallingdal' wool, centre column and four-star base aluminium. Designed in 1958-1959 for the Hotel Royal Copenhagen. Produced by Fritz Hansen, 2018, with number certificate, Model 3316 'Brown Label'. H. 106/40 cm. Unused in original box. Literature: C. Thau and K. Vindum. 'Arne Jacobsen' 1998, discussed on pp. 144, 432 and reproduced on pp. 433, 438-439, 467, 471-472.
