Description

Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm. Lounge chair, Model Scimitar, frame in stainless steel, upholstered in Indian Red-coloured leather. Designed in 1963. Produced and labelled No. 26 with 16-digit frame number from Bo-Ex. No/minimal signs of wear. H. 66 cm. W. 83 cm. D. 69 cm. The chair’s design was inspired by a Turkish Scimitar saber, thus its name. The chair has been exhibited at the Decorative Art Museum, Paris. Literature: N. Oda. 'Danish Chairs', reproduced and discussed on p. 196.
