Description

Rococo/Louis XVI chest of drawers, richly done with inlaid fields and parquetry in light and dark wood, front in the form of a cup/vase, curved sides, and front with three drawers, fittings and grips in cast bronze with foliage and ribbons, central locking system in the middle drawer. C. 1770, probably German. H. 85 cm. W. 125 cm. D. 65 cm. Two keys included. Remains of label on back. Signs of age-related wear, veneer chips, craquelure in the varnish in places, later reinforcements in the drawer bottoms.
