Description

Ole Schwalbe and Simon Henningsen. 'Casablanca'. Cube-shaped pendant light in chromed steel, inside painted in black, purple, red, orange, and yellow. Produced by Lyfa. H. 25.5 cm. L. 18 cm. W. 18 cm.

Between 1963 and 1965, Simon Henningsen, in collaboration with Lyfa, developed the lamp, which he designed for Tivoli. He designed the cube-shaped and labyrinthine 'Casablanca', which quickly was put in production by Lyfa. In addition to regular production, a limited edition of 200 copies was issued. Signed indistinctly, Schwalbe, 99/200.
