Description

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 1886-1969. 'Barcelona' daybed, frame in African Ramin wood (Gonystylus bancanus), webbed in harness leather, polished stainless steel legs. Cushion upholstered in buttoned and piping stitched leather. Neck pillow included. Designed for the World Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929. Produced by Knoll International. Literature: Charlotte and Peter Fiell. '1000 Chairs', reproduced and discussed on p. 133. Minimal signs of age-related wear.
