Description
Carl Gustaf Pilo 1711-1793. Portrait of King Frederik V dressed in armour, with the Order of the Elephant on the right and the General's staff in his left hand. Oil on canvas, unsigned. 92 x 66 (103.5 x 77.5) cm.
The work is registered at Statens Museum for Kunst. A copy of the condition report from the museum’s chief conservator is included. Also included is a copy of the statement from the catalogue of the National History Museum, Frederiksborg.
Provenance: The Kunsthallens Auktioner April 1999, 500. Also, the inventory of a manor house in Jutland.
