Description
Arne Jacobsen 1902-1971. Lounge chair, 'The Egg', Model 3316. Designed in 1958. Produced by Fritz Hansen, early Model from the 1960s. Swivel four-star base in solid profiled aluminium finished on large 'shoes'. Professionally reupholstered in cognac-coloured Vacona pure aniline leather from Arne Sørensen. H. 108/38 cm.
Aniline leather is made of high-quality raw leather. As a rule, the leather has a completely natural stripped surface, where all natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasize the unique character of the leather. The leather is full-grain, which means that the natural surface structure is preserved. Aniline leather changes over time through use and the effects of light, and it quickly develops a naturally beautiful patina.
