Description

Hans J. Wegner 1914-2007. 'Åget'. Armchair with a frame in oak with patina, seat and moveable back upholstered in black leather. Model CH 34. Designed in 1959. Produced by Carl Hansen & Son, Odense and branded accordingly. H. 74/44 W. 62 cm. The chair was presented at ‘Købestævnet’ in Fredericia 1959. Literature: Mobilia No. 47-48, June-July 1959, pages 15-25. Literature: Dansk Kunsthåndværk, no. 1959, pages 117-125. Literature: Johan Møller Nielsen. 'Wegner en dansk Møbelkunstner', 1965, page 85. Production period 1959-1964. Displays age as well as usage-related traces of wear and patina.
