Description
MORTEN GOLL 'Herfra kan du lytte til børnene i Kou Kou', spray lacquer on six white lacquered Arne Jacobsen Series 7 chairs, model 3107, moulded plywood and chrome-plated legs. The artist: 'Each chair announces that from this seat one can listen to the children in a refugee camp or other place in the world. The chairs have also been given an economical term that expresses its position in the global economy. The chairs are considered one collective work.' (6)
This lot has been donated by the artist and Fritz Hansen and is part of the charity auction 'Danmarks Indsamling '08' to help fight infant mortality in Africa. The entire sales proceeds (hammer price, hammer fee and commissions) will go to SOS Børnebyerne, the Danish Red Cross, BØRNEfonden, Save the Children Denmark, UNICEF, Médècins sans Frontière, ADRA Danmark, MS Danish Association for International Co-operation, CARE Danmark, IBIS, DanChurchAid and the Danish Refugee Council. JH-Transport supports 'Danmarks Indsamling '08' with free delivery of the lots from the charity auction within Denmark in week 5 and 6 2008.
