Description
Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec 1864-1901 France. Colour lithographic print/poster. 'Ambassadeurs. Aristide Bruant dans son cabaret'. Printed by Edvard Ancourt, France, 1892. Dimensions 96x147 cm. Pasted on panel and framed behind glass. With paper losses, later filled in with colour, and some areas of discolouration. Provenance: From Anders Beckman, purchased in the 1930s in Paris. A Beckman founded Beckman's school of advertising. He also contributed to starting 'AGT', Alliance Graphique International, a world-famous organization for promoting poster art.
