The iconic turntable Beogram 4000c first saw the light of day in 1972 and, over the past years, has been the symbol of Bang & Olufsen's direction towards upgrading classic products and integrating them with the newer portfolio as a challenge to the throw-away culture. Last year, Bang & Olufsen introduced an upgrade set for the Beogram 4000c, which makes it possible to integrate newer speaker systems with the earlier turntable, which is thus future-proof.
A dedicated team at the factory in Struer has produced this special edition of the turntable. The turntable is built of walnut and is equipped with beautiful brass details. The expression, which in its time was created by the Danish designer Jacob Jensen, remains, while the new elements in walnut and brass connect the past and present.
This is a charity auction to benefit the Christmas help at Mødrehjælpen. When you bid, you help ensure a better Christmas for families with children in need. Lauritz.com donates all fees and charges from this auction to this good cause.
NOTE: The turntable is on display in the Bang & Olufsen store, Østergade 18, Copenhagen, throughout the auction period. At the end of the auction, the turntable must be picked up there.
