Description

Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm. High-backed folding armchair with footstool, model P.B. 10. Oak frame, adjustable back with armrests of full-grain leather, seat and back of stretched canvas, brass fittings. Cushion in patinated red leather for the footstool. Designed in 1963. Produced by cabinetmaker Poul Bachmann. Presented at the exhibition held by the Cabinetmakers' Guild 1963. Literature: Grete Jalk "Dansk Møbelkunst gennem 40 aar" (Danish Furniture through 40 years), vol. 4, described and pictured pp. 222-223 and pp. 258 and 259., Mobilia no. 100, Nov. 1963 and no. 106, May 1964. This item has age-related signs of wear, one full-grain leather strap attached later.
