Description

Arne Jacobsen. Lounge chair, 'The Swan', upholstered in red wool, four-star aluminium base. Produced and stamped by Fritz Hansen, 1988, Model 3322. H.78/40 cm. Designed in 1957-1958 for the Hotel Royal in Copenhagen. Footstool, Model 3127 for 'The Egg'/'The Swan' on a fully moulded aluminium profiled base. Designed 1958-1959. Literature: C. Thau and K. Vindum. 'Arne Jacobsen', mentioned and reproduced on p. 469. Signs of wear related to age, including shade differences on the fabric and slightly soft back. (2)
