Description
Sculpture / figure, cannon Bosatsu-der Bodhisattva of compassion, varnish / gilded bronze, nineteenth century, Japan. Depiction of Shō cannon, upright figure on plinth, with lotus flower in hand, simple clothes with a crown in which one can see Buddha. H 142cm, W 37.5cm, D 37.5cm, scuffing commensurate with age, partial signs of oxidation, partially minor scratches, gold scuffing on bronze.
