Private collection of Diesella mopeds and boat engines

We are now able to present an intriguing piece of motor history directly from an enthusiastic collector of Diesella mopeds and motorboats. In 1943, Eli Andersen founded the company Diesella in Kolding, which initially produced small auxiliary motors with a roller drive attached directly to the rear wheel of a bicycle - commonly known as an 'ass pusher'. After World War II, demand for Diesella products grew, and in 1952, the autocycle, more commonly known as the moped, was introduced to the market. The moped was a huge success, and at one point, Diesella was selling approximately 200 mopeds per day, totaling around 40,000 per year, making it Denmark's largest moped factory.

With the introduction of foreign mopeds to the market, Diesella's moped production began to decline in the mid-1960s, and in 1967, the last moped rolled off the assembly line in Kolding. Place bids on these legendary mopeds at our auctions, which will close on 2 May between 19:35 and 21:35.
