Unique Collection of Märklin - part 3

At Lauritz.com, we have now reached the third and final part of a total of three large auctions featuring Märklin items from the Swedish collector Carl-Henrik Bergström. A significant portion of the collection was intended as an investment, which means there are rare and valuable items among them.

Carl-Henrik Bergström's interest in Märklin trains was sparked in his childhood, and he collected them throughout his life. Initially, he collected for his own enjoyment—and later for his daughter's—but his ambitions grew, and for a long time, his dream was to establish a Märklin museum. As a result, many trains and items were purchased over time, some of which were never even unpacked.
