These three lithographs are part of a series that Salvador Dali produced in 1966 on commission from the Swedish art dealer and collector Tore Gerschman. The series comprises ten gouache paintings that illustrate the tales of the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. In 1967, 75 lithographic prints of each gouache were produced. With the lot follows the booklet 'H C Andersen à la Dali published by Louisiana in February 1967 as well as Erik Dal. Foreign H. C. Andersen illustrations.
